This together with his vast experience and expertise allows the client to obtain advice and support that will assist them in achieving their financial goals.

With his broad range of expertise Michael provides services to clients in the advertising, food and property industries. In addition, he provides advice to individuals, estate planning services as well as business and advisory services to investors.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

Deb has over 30 years of experience in tax and advisory services and specialises in providing superannuation and SMSF advice. She heads up the firm’s superannuation team utilising her extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this area.

Deb has a caring, empathic approach to her interactions with others which allows her to develop trusting and supportive relationships with her clients. Her clients value her clear, succinct and practical advice.

Originally coming from KPMG, she also understands large clients with complex needs and her experience covers all areas of tax and advisory services to businesses, professionals, investors, retirees and trustees of SMSF’s.

Deb is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Tax Adviser, Registered Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree.

Vanessa has more than 25 years experience as a tax specialist, and has an interest in the tax and succession issues faced by privately owned enterprises and family groups. She has extensive knowledge in areas such as tax structuring, cross border issues, asset acquisitions and divestments, and tax issues arising for trusts.

She has written and presented many papers for key professional associations, such as the Tax Institute of Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the Television Education Network, and Company Secretaries of Australia.

Vanessa was a partner at Deloitte Private and prior to that was a partner at BDO and Crowe Horwath.

Vanessa is a Chartered Accountant and has degrees in Teaching, Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Economics) and a Masters in Tax Law. She is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia, past member of the Westminster Tax Discussion Group and was a representative member of the ATO Small Business Tax Working Group.

She is currently the Chair of the NSW Professional Development Committee for the Taxation Institute of Australia and is a Member of the State Council for the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Kirsty has over 17 years experience as a tax specialist, working with privately owned groups and listed entities in relation to tax compliance, tax effect accounting, restructures, tax consolidations, employee share schemes, small business CGT, trust tax issues and international tax issues.

Kirsty has been involved in tax controversy, objections and private binding ruling applications and has substantial experience in liaising with the Australian Taxation Office to achieve the best results for her clients.

Beginning her career at PKF (which later became BDO) in Corporate Tax before becoming a Director in Deloitte Private, she has dealt with many complex transactions and tax issues. Kirsty is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance).

Christine has worked with clients for over 11 years on their taxation and retirement needs. She specialises in the advisory and administration areas of superannuation and SMSFs. Her extensive technical knowledge makes her an adept problem solver.

As a technical specialist, Christine is able to provide clients with a wide range of tailored strategies specific to SMSFs. She is also able to assist clients in understanding their SMSF compliance obligations, planning for retirement and in the winding up of their funds.

Christine is a Chartered Accountant and an accredited CA SMSF Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Economics, Master of Applied Tax (specialising in Superannuation) and a Master of Professional Accounting.

Frances is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Tax Adviser. She graduated with Distinction in her Bachelor Degree in Business where she majored in direct and sub-majored in indirect Australian taxation. She holds a Master Degree in Taxation and is currently studying for a Master Degree in International Taxation.

Gavin is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours), Masters of Counselling/Applied Psychotherapy and a Diploma of Financial Planning. He has also passed all three levels of the CFA Program.

As the Office Manager Stuart ensures that the office runs smoothly so our partners and practitioners can focus on servicing our clients. Since joining Baskin Clarke Priest in 2000, Stuart has been responsible for all the various office administration functions. He is also the ‘go to’ person for the team when issues arise – if he cannot fix a problem, he will find someone who can.

Stuart’s work experience has mostly been in small to medium sized companies and has generally involved accounting, payroll and office administration. He enjoys working with the team at Baskin Clarke Priest and his interactions with clients.

Stuart has a Bachelor Degree in International Trade and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the United States.

Lynda has recently joined Baskin Clarke Priest and has more than 7 years’ accounting and tax experience, commencing her career at a city based mid-tier firm. She then moved to a large, well established Family Office servicing ultra-high net worth clients. More recently she worked at Deloitte Private Tax providing taxation services to clients across a range of industries. Her focus area is providing taxation advisory and compliance services to significant privately owned businesses and to the families that own them. She also has experience in commercial property, specifically in the retail sector.

Lynda is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master degree in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Property Economics (sub-majoring in Accounting).
